Perpétuel is a unique destination for collectors. The Dubai–based gallery maintains an evolving collection of timepieces, historical artefacts and objets d’art. The collection is carefully curated to offer individuals access to otherwise unobtainable collectibles, whilst inspiring and educating its members on the legacy of the craftsmen and artists it represents.
FRACTURE, a limited edition of 7 pieces created exclusively for Perpétuel Gallery, stems from Krüger’s exploration of the concepts of order and chaos and their connection to our perception of time. The watch has a unique ‘cracked’ dial, revealing the complexity of the FK: CHAOS caliber beneath.
The movement finishing and bespoke two–tone colouring in Perpétuel’s green & copper tones is the result of 12 months of R&D in partnership with Geneva–based Rhodior, a specialist in haute horlogerie decoration. The movement is produced and assembled by Agenhor. The fissure in the innovative dial is meticulously hand polished, its sun–brushed finish perfectly aligning across its two halves. Crafted by renowned Swiss manufacturer Comblémine, Krüger describes the dial as "edgy yet elegant".
Inspired in part by the striking rock formations observed during Krüger's frequent visits to Switzerland, the artist notes that, "A fracture is a visual representation of time — a moment of chaos etched onto our landscape. In contrast, a sun–brushed dial is very classic and well–behaved. I loved the idea of taking this perfect dial and cracking it in two. I admit I really like bringing a punk spirit to traditional watchmaking."
